Rendir cuentas Accountability

A estos les parece cosa extraña que vosotros no corráis con ellos en el mismo desenfreno de disolución, y os ultrajan; pero ellos darán cuenta al que está preparado para juzgar a los vivos ya los muertos. They think it strange that you do not run with them in the same excess of riot, and spitefully, but they will realize that you are ready to judge the living and the dead.

¿Sabías que Jesús siempre rendía cuentas a su Padre? Did you know that Jesus always was accountable to his Father? Aunque era el Hijo de Dios, siempre se dejó llevar por los designios de su Padre, y rendía cuentas de todo cuanto hacía. Although he was the Son of God, always carried away by the designs of his Father, and was accountable for everything they did. Para ilustrar esto, el apóstol Pablo uso una frase en Romanos 15:3 Porque ni aun Cristo se agradó a sí mismo. To illustrate this, the apostle Paul used a phrase in Romans 15:3 For even Christ did not please himself. En toda circunstancia, Jesús siempre buscaba la aprobación divina y se dejaba guiar por la instrucción del Espíritu Santo. In all circumstances, Jesus always sought God's approval and was guided by the instruction of the Holy Spirit. Las palabras clave de su vida eran: • No puedo yo hacer nada por mí mismo; según oigo, así juzgo; y mi juicio es justo, porque no busco mi voluntad, sino la voluntad del que me envió, la del Padre. The keywords of his life were: • I can do anything for myself, as I hear, I judge: and my opinion is fair, because I seek not my will but the will of him who sent me, the Father.
Es preciso que reconozcamos que Jesús hacía todas estas cosas porque, aunque era Dios, rendía cuenta de todo cuanto realizaba para demostrar una filosofía de vida que desea que adopte cada uno de sus hijos. We need to recognize that Jesus did all these things because, although he was God, was accountable for all that carried out to establish a philosophy of life you want to take each of their children. Además, Dios quiere que entendamos que no solamente hemos de rendir cuentas ante Dios, sino también ante nuestros semejantes. Furthermore, God wants us to understand that we have not only accountable to God, but also to our fellow men.
En algunos versículos, que algunos prefieren evitar,encontramos que la Biblia es muy directa cuando habla de rendir cuentas. In some verses, which some prefer to avoid, we find that the Bible is very direct when he talks about accountability. Jesús nos recuerda que de toda palabra ociosa que hablen los hombres, de ella darán cuenta en el día del juicio (Mat. 12: 36). Jesus reminds us that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account on the day of Judgement (Matt. 12: 36).
Cuando aceptes verdaderamente este concepto de rendir cuentas, te prometo que sucederá algo: Tú cambiarás. When you truly accept this concept of accountability, I promise that something will happen: You will change. Hacer de esto parte de nuestra filosofía de vida cambiará muchísimo la forma en que vivimos. Make this part of our philosophy of life changed dramatically the way we live.
Si verdaderamente creemos que hay un Dios que observa nuestras acciones y ante el cual un día no muy lejano tendremos que rendir cuentas, debemos genuinamentc cambiar nuestra conducta, nuestra actitud y nuestras palabras. If we truly believe that there is a God who observes our actions and to which one day soon we will be accountable, we genuinamentc change our behavior, our attitude and our words.
El creer que toda la Escritura es inspirada divinamente nos exhorta a tomar en serio los versículos que nos recuerdan que hay un Dios que observa cada cosa que hacen sus hijos. To believe that all Scripture is divinely inspired urges us to take to heart the verses that remind us that there is a God who watches every thing their children do. Sin embargo, lo cierto es que a muchos de los hijos de Dios no les gusta aceptar que esto sea una realidad. However, the fact is that many of the children of God do not like to accept that this is a reality. Quizás quisiéramos que este tipo de versículos no estuviera en la Biblia, pero la aceptación de que es así forma parte de humillarnos ante Dios y tomar su Palabra en serio. Maybe we want this kind of verses in the Bible were not, but the acceptance of which is thus part of humble ourselves before God and take His Word seriously.
Rendir cuentas era una de las maneras en que Jesús obtenía su gozo. Accountability was one of the ways in which Jesus derived his joy. Me pregunto si hemos aprendido el gozo de agradar a Dios en todo cuanto hacemos. I wonder if we have learned the joy of pleasing God in everything we do. Quiera Dios que sus hijos vivan hoy una vida que traiga gozo al corazón de nuestro Padre celestial. God forbid that their children now live a life that brings joy to the heart of our heavenly Father.
