En paz con Dios At peace with God

En consecuencia, ya que hemos sido justificados mediante la fe, tenemos paz con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo (Romanos 5:1). Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).

CUANDO DIOS, POR UN ACTO DE MISERICORDIA y amor, perdona al pecador, soluciona el pecado en el ser humano, que es un obstáculo para que Dios se reconcilie con él. This means that God no longer condemns us. Esta paz de la que Pablo habla no es primariamente una paz interior, sino la paz que tiene que ver con una relación restaurada. The peace of which Paul speaks is not primarily an inner peace but the peace that is related to a restored relationship. A causa de que Dios ya no nos condena, ni es nuestro enemigo, entonces estamos en paz con él. Because God does not condemn us, nor is it our enemy, then we are at peace with him. Ya no estamos bajo condenación, porque hemos sido justificados. We are no longer under condemnation, because we have been justified. Así como el perdón nos lleva a la justificación, del mismo modo la justificación nos conduce a la paz con Dios. Just as forgiveness leads to the justification, justification likewise leads us to peace with God.

Esta paz se obtuvo por lo que Cristo hizo por nosotros. This peace was obtained by what Christ did for us. Dice el apóstol que “él es nuestra paz” (Efe. 2:14). Esta paz que Dios nos da es imposible que no se convierta también en una paz interna, porque tener paz con Dios nos debe traer también paz interior.
